Dear wonderful people at CNN,
I am a Canadian and thrilled at your new President Barack Obama, as is every other decent and good person around the world. Considering his intelligence, integrity, education and commitment, I am sure he will be an excellent leader, however, let us in all fairness recognize that by the sheer fact that he was elected into the office of the President of the Untied States, he has already done more to repair the historical wounds of the many many millions of people, in the U.S. and throughout the world, than any other person, and I am not just referring to the black people. When one group is unjustly treated, all decent people everywhere are wounded and suffer.
The hearts of countless people are rejoicing today throughout the world.
I am one of them.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Zidaric

During his campaign, Mr. Obama referred to his mother and grandmother and their tremendous influence on his life. Since his election, other than his visit to Hawaii, neither of their names has surfaced. The black community has claimed him as one of their own, totally ignoring the fact that he is indeed bi-racial.
I wonder why?

Does this reflect on me as a racist? I assure you that as a 71 year old white woman, I remember well traipsing the streets of Detroit registering black voters in 1959. That was NOT a racist activity, for I was supporting Jackie Vaughn as one of the first black candidates for the Michigan legislature.

I spent forty-three years teaching in schools with both black and white students with no regard for race. I simply want to say that Mr. Obama belongs to all of us equally, not just the black community.

I really enjoy CNN’s terrific coverage of all aspects of this wonderful journey.

Regarding Casey Anthony Case, who did take care of Caylee during the mother’s escapades? She couldn’t have left the little girl bound & chlorinated all the time. Zenaida was not the baby sitter and the folks only took care of Caylee part of the time between 2006 & 2008.

As the founder of the White House Boys; I can tell you that what is being reported is only the tip of the iceberg. The 31 graves in the woods is only a portion of the 50 to 200 boys who are still missing. No one has yet to mention the millions of dollars skimmed off by Department of Agriculture employees who ran the FSB reform school facility at that time. That is the reason the rapes, beatings and murders were not exposed by anyone living in the local community.

Can you please tell my why you are stalling reporting the story of the football player and his dying mother-in-law?????? You have been promising this story for three hours.

Terry Carr March 27, 2009

I am not only a former police officer, but a 3rd generation police offficer, as well.
In regard to what the police officer did in stopping the football player for running the red light seems correct in regard to the absolute letter of the law. It also showed a “God Complex”, which unfortunately a lot of police officers have. This officer lacked not only simple compassion, but a total lack of common sense. What if if was a lie? What if the circumstances were not as the driver represented? I’ve seen worse. So What? That would have been his problem, not yours. So you lost a citation for running a red light? Under the situation presented, big deal! The officer was WRONG.

I just finished watching your “reporter’s” coverage of the tax protest in Illinois yesterday. I don’t believe I have ever seen a more stark example of an inept interviewer pushing a personal agenda and calling it “reporting.” Her delivery was dripping with sarcasm and she posed no question but rather restated an unrelated fact regarding Illinois’ share of the stimulus package. It was obvious she had a personal agenda which included bringing another network into her commentary and blaming it for generating the rally. Come now CNN.

I am registered democrat and I voted for Obama, however, I do not agree with his fiscal policies and also believe he has been disingenuous regarding the impact on federal income taxes in future years.

Finally, after your “reporter’s” immature handling of her interview I have removed CNN from my TV channel selection. Good luck with interviewer like her…..you’ll need it

I believe we needed a President like Barrack Obama who is for the people, elected by the people. And my only wish is that the American people would not be so blinded by the aspect of color and to truly judge this man by the content of his character. After all he is God sent! Read your Bible! Idon’t think america could have made a better choice in this day and time and feel if he were even white that, if anyone is God sent he or she would have been the right person for the job. Just to say also that, if God put it into motion no one can stop it! Man law is never above and never has been above God’s law. People had better wake up! So, many crisis are happening all around the world today. God say”if my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves, pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land..”
