Mr. Asif Ali Zardari Sold Out

Why is Mr. Zardari so eager to build ties with India at the expense of Pakistan? These are my sentiments in response to last week’s op-ed in Pakistani newspapers written by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to commemorate Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s birthday. I am a young Pakistani woman residing in Canada. And, needless to say, I am not impressed.
OTTAWA, Canada—In this time of recession, when the people aren’t getting the rightful price of their property, there is only one commodity cheaper than anything else and ready to be sold out: Mr. Asif Ali Zardari

He is shamelessly confessing (in his article published on 20 June 2009 in daily Jang newspaper) that the events of 9/11, the attacks on Indian Parliament and Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Hotel were somehow linked to Pakistan. The fact that even the Indians couldn’t come up with evidence to their allegations [they are battling with multiple separatist and freedom-fighting groups inside India] exposes Mr. Zardari’s slave mindset and how he is beholden to his masters.
The op-ed piece was supposed be about Benazir Bhutto. But Mr. President turned it into an attack on ‘radicals and extremists’ and on dictatorship, forgetting that he came to power thanks to the actions of one such dictatorship.
There are only two possibilities if we analyze this shameless confession; either his intellect is very poor or he is sold out to those who were behind those attacks. But an intelligent guess is: He is sold out and because of his poor intellect, he is unable to grasp the reality: He is President of Pakistan because of that ‘dictatorship’ and Pakistanis won’t his newfound love for democracy, especially one grew in the lap of dictatorship.
He is more eager to build a strong relationship between India and Pakistan then between him and people of Pakistan. He is forgetting that it is India who has failed to maintain the neighborly relationship not even with Pakistan but also its other neighbors like China, Nepal and Srilanka.
There is still time for Mr. Zardari to review his thoughts and stop acting like a prostitute. Otherwise he would be long gone leaving behind another name in the list of traitors of Pakistan. Pakistan is a sovereign country; the blood that runs in this nation’s veins is that of noble founders and faithful people. This sovereign country will soon rise. The people of Pakistan are eager to stand together to sing their national anthem. Mr. Zardari needs to make his place among such people, his own countrymen and not bet on foreign help.

What comments can one make on the fact that the stabishment of Pakistan was not able to form a government in Pakistan until the it was selected and aproved by American and British ministers and military generals sitting in Islamabad. This corrupt man who is openly responsible for the death of his equally corrupt wife Baynazir Bhutto ( according to their Westren culture Mrs Baynazir Zardari ). Pakistan does not need enemy without it has got enemies within.
Pakistani people easily devide on ethenic grounds. They are so pathetic. That is why may be we deserve to be ruled by Scum which sits in the Pak Paliament , in President House and in Pak Forces Head Qarters
Dear
Since you have mentioned that you are a young woman residing in Canada, I hope and assume that you do not have any linkage to those sections who have always attempted to malign PPP and its leadership starting from the times of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Bhutto and now their target is the persona of the President. After reading your article I sincerely believe that you have been misguided.
To begin with, one must not attempt to belittle the leadership of his/her own country. Please see and analyse objectively what he has done for the nation and for the country since he assume party leadership and the office of the President.
As far as President Zardari’s stance towards India is concerned, lets be very very clear. President has repeatedly said that we are a peaceful nation and we want good relations with our neighbours based on mutual respect of sovereignty and on equal footings. It is not only India or Pakistan that is facing the stateless actors who are involved in heinous crimes against the humanity. It is the whole region that is suffering the menace of extremism and militancy. We have to work with each other to root out militancy from this region.
As far as your observation that President turned his op-ed into attack on radicals and extremists, you would certainly agree that when you commemorate an event or recall a personality, don’t you emphasize on his/her mission in life. Shaheed Ms. Bhutto always fought and struggled for democracy, against militancy and sacrificed her life for this noble cause. Would it be fair if her struggle, her message is ignored and all emphasis is laid on kindling lamps over her grave?
It does not seem appropriate to comment anything further on the words you have used such as prostitute or traitor. I am sure you still remember, in foreign land, what we teach our children, to be polite and well-mannered. Even if they totally disagree or dislike someone still we, the Pakistanis, prove ourselves to be a descent nation and responsible people.
Regards
Ayesha Khan
Before giving any comments on the statement given here I would like to suggest that at least we should learn some etiquettes and manners. The word prostitute shows the mental approach of the person. So please once think before choosing the words.
Now I come to the issue, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was the leader that rendered her life for this country but alas our people are not able enough that one should struggle for them.
A corrupt person always thinks at the same angle like Sindia. If I am not wrong Ms Sindia is one those who are real enemies of Pakistan. They don’t want to see Pakistan a stable country.
Coming to Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, I would just like to add that he is the person who passed precious moments of his life behind bars and lost his wife, Saved the country by chanting Slogan of “ Pakistan Khappay” and visited world for the sake of this country not for his personal interests. I am not relative of Zardari or his lover but these are facts and one should be rational in accepting these facts.
Ms Sindia it was very easy to comment someone but much tough to face crucial circumstances. I don’t know how a person can comment on that burning in the fire sitting outside safe.
I just conclude that every one has right to comment but within the limits of ethics etiquettes; it will show nothing but your background.
Since the writer is so well equipped on her grasp on Pakistan and its politicians,, i urge her to write a open hearted article on 8 years of dictatorial rule of musharaf and his appeasement policies of U.S.A,, U.K,, India,,, his policies on kashmir,, our nuclear programe, his eagerness to allow foriegn troops to be based in pakistani strategic airbases and etc.. Lets see how good this young pakistani woman living in canada can write a just and honest article about “dictatorial rule in pakistan and its setbacks”. Its very easy to sit far away and cry Foul or discredit politicians,, but its hard to be living in paistan under a dictators rule and defy him(see what happened to akbar bugti,, iftikhar chaudry,, nawaz shareef,, benazir).. No matter what pathetic women like you write,, but the truth is,,, worse kind of politicians are better then a average dictator. Atleast we know, in next elections we may vote out the politicians,, but who can get rid of a dictator who directs all the energies of armed forces on one agenda,, that is to prolong is illegitimate rule.
Mr. Asif Ali Zardari Cannot be Sold!

Why is Mr. Zardari so eager to build ties with India at the expense of Pakistan? Answer is there is a new generation of Pakistan and Indians, who want to do away, with half a century old notions, between these two nuclear armed nations of equal global stature and while doing so resolving Kashmir issue and be gating implementation on water treaties.
Having gone through the life experiences, Senator Asif Zardari has, now as a President of Pakistan, he is not sale able any more. President Zardari, now is able to give and he now is giving the country his best.. He has given his wife. Long years of his life in Jail, for this country, we call Pakistan. Any suggestions to contrary, that he, will decide the fate of nation, for personal gains or political ascendancy, is beyond logic borderering to misguided faith, in proven integrity of a Pakistani.
These of your sentiments are respected, as to last week’s op-ed in Pakistani newspapers written by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to commemorate Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s birthday. And as an young Pakistani woman residing in, Royal Canada., are not impressed. But many fail to impress you but you do not go writing serious allegation against those, do you? It is not worth it, the allegations you have leveled against President are serious. You, in North America are living in recession, when the people aren’t even getting the rightful price of their property, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, through Parliament and Prime Minster and Cabinet has made available basic life amenities, you, as an Ex-Pat will fail to imagine. Why don’t you Visit Pakistan and come, see for your self.
Pakistan’s distant connect with the events of 9/11, the attacks on Indian Parliament and Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Hotel are well established and world knows it. Mr. Zardari is no Dr. Goebbles, of German Reich. He is straight shooter and calling a spade a spade, is right thing to do.
Inclusion of such incidental side issues in op-ed piece was essential, as how often President writes in Newspaper? He wrote because of Benazir Bhutto. There are only two possibilities.
He is more eager to build a strong relationship between China, Turkey, Nepal and Sri Lanka, even Burma, than India. Correct your history of these short times and Pakistanis, are truly amazed at capable and deft political acumen and international geo- strategies and foresight of President Asif.. He has not forgotten any thing about India. It is therefore India, has for the first time, opened dialogue with Pakistan, in Russia, recognizing Pakistan, as Pakistan is.
Please, do not comment on Pakistan or its elected leaders, if you are not a current, Taxpayer and eligible to Voter, please.
Well Sadia Khalid
I dont find any thing wrong with what you have expressed,, though it will be hard to digest,, coz somehow an incompitent like him made it to the top office infront of 180 million Pakistanis, amazing.
Secondly, being in Canada and still you have observed the right theme of our current setup, i wonder why those out here still prefer to keep there eyes close.
Wonderful
DEAR
NOW IT HAS BECOME HABITAT OF EVERY PAKISTANI TO FINGER OUT ANY ONE WE OUR SELVES ARE NOT READY TO DO BUT THOSE WHO ARE DARING IT SO WHY WE ARE AGAIN AND AGAIN POINTING THEM THEY HAVE BEEN ELECTED FOR THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE.FIRST WE PEOPLE ARE VOTING THEM THEN ARGUING THIS IS NOT GOOD AND IT IS JUST BECAUSE OF YOU GIRLS WATCH MORE AND MORE DRAMAS AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO JUST GETTING A DEGREE AND BEING A WRITER OR WHAT EVER. I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT IF SOMEONE IS ELECTED SO LET HIM COMPLETE.I AM NOT SUPPORTING GOVERNMENT I AM SAYING WHICH IS RIGHT…. THANKS TRY TO BE CHANGE DEAR
Sindia. Yes you are correct, Pakistan is being destabilised by elements from within – both the ruling classes and those nutters that accept loose change to kill fellow citizens (whether they by sunni, shia or christians).
However, (although I can see your point) I do not accept that we (as Pakistanis, at least the ones that genuinely care) deserve to be ruled by “Scum”.
I do think that the silent majority do care, and it is about time that we came out and made our voice heard – kick out those that don’t have the interest of Islam and Pakistani in their hearts.
Ms Ayesha . I hope the PPP are paying well for your services. As someone else stated, call ‘a spade a spade’ (except in America – then that would appear to be racist).
Moon. I take exception to a number of your points, but due to the amount of time it would take to address those, I will restrict myself to the following:
“Ms Sindia is one those who are real enemies of Pakistan. They don’t want to see Pakistan a stable country.”. What exactly do you base this comment on? Did you actually read Sindia’s comment? I have to confess that my English interpretation leaves a bit to be desired, but even I can understand that Sindia is passionate, but disappointed, about Pakistan. I myself am in that position – I can not put out the fire if you insist on continously re-lighting it.
“I am not relative of Zardari or his lover”. No? I suppose you could be a (PPP) stooge though.
“Ms Sindia…I don’t know how a person can comment on that burning in the fire sitting outside safe. “. Quite easily I would expect. In fact I would dare to suggest that the person outside might be more objective too – there is not pressure to conform to one side or the other.
I haven’t read comments much further down the page than this, therefore this will have to do fow now!
