Musharraf in London
By guestwriter at 28 July, 2009, 2:15 am
Ayesha Ijaz Khan has informed us that Pervez Musharraf has bought a three-and-a-half-bedroom house on London’s Edgeware Road for a mere GBP 1.4 million.

I am sure that she is quoting the price of the property after the housing bubble burst. While Ms Khan highlights that this house is modest by global dictatorial standards, she fails to appreciate the adroit financial management of what can most probably be credited to Mrs Musharraf. At today’s exchange rate GBP 1.4 million means Rs189 million. The Musharraf family would have to save close to Rs335,106 every month for 47 years to buy this house. A good example to learn from.

Mr. Khan, have you ever mentioned the property of Nawaz, Shahbaz, Zardari, Benazir, altaf, Khar, and many more, you are among them who are suffring from Musharaf Phobia.
Nawaz & Shahbaz established their business in INDIA, their Suger Mills are being running in INDIA,
Nawaz also established a Steel Mill in Saudia, surprisingly he did not appoint any Pakistani in said Steel Mill, with the openion that Pakistani will create problem for him and made LABOUR UNION. So he appointed Indian and Bangladashi people in his Steel Mill
We must not protect a dictator.
Although I agree – Zardari is considered the most corrupt politician of Pakistan, even then, I think he is far better than Musharaf , as a President.
At least he came as a result of vote. And he do not have the power to do what ever he likes to do.
True the worst form of democracy is better than the best form of dictatroship.
We must discourage dictators.
We should support Musharraf who did many good things for our country and for our Nation but people like MR. Khan really shame for our nation…
All the good things musharaf did for Pakistan are,,, taking the country for a ride with kargil adventure without consulting the then primeminister and corps commanders, moving the whole institution of army against a democraticaly elected government when he was constitutionaly and lawfuly dismissed by the then primeminister, taking a U Turn on afghan policy by declaring the then pro pakistani afghan government as enemies thus making afghanistan a breeding space for anti pakistani elements and turning the former afghan regime into a anti pakistan force, killing a baluch leader which resulted in an uprising of baluch and it led towards ethnic hatred, using the secret service agencies to opress and supress the political opponents, making paistani nuclear programe controvercial by using a q khan as a escape goat for his own personal agendas, using the institution of army against its own people in the capital of islamabad and the result was more dissent and hatred towards pakistan army by its own citizens, forceful removal of the highest judiciary and then keeping most of them under house arrest with their families for no apparent reason,,,, many good things musharaf did for his own countrys like u.s.a, u.k, india are,,, keeping the kashmir issue dormant throughout his illlegitimate rule of 8 years, selling pakistani citizens for hundredrs of millions of dollars, selling strategic security bases of pakistan to u.s.a, using the proud pakistan army as a mercenary brigand to achieve foriegn agendas, appointing pakistani army officials into civilian government jobs only to deprive pakistani army from its professional officers and exposing the country to more foriegn threats,,,, this list can go on and on. All the achievements of mr musharaf can be bonded in a book. But the point is, who can write a single paragraph of his honourable(if there was any) and just service to the pakistani nation????
credit to musharraf that he removed the CJ of the supreme court and not attack the Supreme Court and beat up and force the resignation of the chief justice as he sat conducting the Court’s business. but nobody talks about that. i wonder why?
@ javaid hyder
They will never target / discuss them who (Nawaz & Co) attack on Supreme Court and forced CJP (Sajjad Ali Shah) to resign by using establishment. Being that Chief Justice was not Punjabi, he was Baychara Sindhi. But this CJP is their own man.
@ali
Pls come out of hate, just cool down and try to understand reality. Dont repeat this TOTA MAINA KI KAHANI, there are many jurnalists who are engaged in this job. U may come out, and apply your own mind,
Nawaz sharif has 4 flats on park lane…worth 5 mil each now you do the math..
This is Musharraf’s personal business. He has bought a flat not a palace. Ayesha Ijaz Khan should find better use of her time.
Adnan Cyprian conveniently “forgot” to mention the fact that Musharraf wrote a book for which he received a handsome sum from the publisher and also received the subsequent royalty for the book. Moreover, Musharraf is one of the most sought after speaker around today, being more in demand than even Bill Clinton. Suffice it to say that such high profile speakers easily command a high lecture/speaking fee.
As if the above was not enough, Musharraf’s son has a decent career. Is it inconceivable to suppose that Musharraf was able to acquire this apartment not only from the money he acquired from his book and his current speaking engagements, but also financial assistance from his son? Is this really unbelievable? Do the laws of physics make this scenario impossible?
Shame on people like Adnan Cyprian who are busy maligning the name of Musharraf.
Now answer this: how do you respond to the fact that Nawaz Sharif the maha looter has 5 apartments in Park Lane worth 5 million pounds each? Musharraf is not even remotely as rich as Nawaz Sharif (Badmash) and Zardari and yet these two known corrupt and morally bankrupt characters are being ignored and Musharraf is being isolated and maliciously attacked!
A crook is a crook and a thief is a thief regardles in whatever dress he appears in. All these so called demorcatic leaders and dictators have disappointed us repeatedly and yet we still have time to discuss them. No doubt they have optimism of fooling us again. Its our own fault we let them to make us fool again and again. No accountability for Musharraf because he issued NRO, No accountaility for Zardari thanks to NRO. No accountability for
ALTAF BAHI, Thanks to karachi mafia and NRO. No accountability for Sharif thanks to our brotherly friend country who has religious sympathies from our people. No accountability for NAP because they sold their presdential ballots publically to Zardari. No accountability for Fazlur Rehman because he knows how to cash his few seats from any Government. No accountability for Qazi because of Fatwa and million man march threat. Then who is left ??????
Of course Imran Khan but he is not a feudalist, not a landlord, not a religious leader, not a military general and obviously not a Mafia King pin.So how we can vote for him…….. MILLION dollar answer we are PAKISTANI naive and stupid.
@ ALI
U ARE SUFFRING FROM MUSHRAF PHOBIO, LIKE NAWAZ, HAMID MIR, ANSAR ABBASI, WHO EVEN SEE / DISCUSS MUSHRAF IN THEIR DREAMS.
@Syed Farrukh……Musharraf did more harm than good to Pakistani nation….Because of his selfishness Pakistanis stand more divided than before……
@Javaid Hyder & Khalid Mateen & Asad Baig……..at least be brave and say whats wrong whoever did it be it Zardari, Sharif, Musharraf, Altaf Hussain etc. If Nawaz has 4 flats in Parklane and zardari Surrey palace they are the big thieves, but this doesn’t provide justification for Musharraf to buy a flat in London from what most probably looks like Pakistani public’s money…..he is a thief nevertheless however a petty one…….More than that his hands are all stained with innocent Pakistani blood……and by his own account he earned huge piles of DOLLARS by handing over Pakistanis to his Master USA…….True Nawaz and Zardari have no shining past but at least they have been elected by ballots and not bullets………
