In Pakistan, the media has been able to operate with relative freedom only in recent times. But now the government wants to reign in news organisations.

Authorities want a new law that would ban certain pictures and videos criticising the government and security forces.

Al Jazeera’s Sohail Rahman reports from the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

Musy was noone to take or give freedom to anyone..He himself was an Arrogant Puppet Dictator who was so coward that he ranaway just when a Petition was going to file against him in Supreme Court… .its the due right of every citizen of Pakistan to have a freedom of speech nd especially incase of Journalists..they should be given complete freedom to work…thats their job to report the truth abt every story..if anyone stops them from doing so then he is unjust nd should be stopped by all means with our support!!!

So much for the democratic rule, the media has given the people a voice, a strong voice. Thanks to the independent media, we have been able to know about the multimillion scams committed by our worthless politicians. Do you really think restricting the media will help ?
It will only give our politicians a sigh of relief.

Wake up Pakistan!
