As for as president house is concerned, it was reported in a news paper that it is used due to security concerns( looks pretty economical instead of making more security plans somewhere else than president house). dont think negatively without knowing the facts.

Secondly, I fully endorse Mr. Wajahat Ali Khan’s views that we must be doing something about the mess we are in. People live PRIVATE lives in Government Official Residences. One can hold a ceremony where he lives. Living in Official Residence doesnt mean that one cannot eat, drink, sleep or celebrate without forwarding a DFA. Whether official money was used thats another issue.

Having keep that in mind than you should know the difference between any other families having extravagant weddings from their own Money and their own venues with this Wedding Ceremony of PM’s son in Presidential Palace under Pakistan flag and Tax payer’s money…

Can you think about the difference? or do I need to further elaborate?

Security Reasons…. SIR, this is not a reason enough to justify the ceremony we can see in the above images.

Security reasons are for everyone and we have seen more poor people being the target of the terrorism and assasinations.

Will you allow everyone to have a ceremony if qualifies on these Security Grounds? I’ll assume your answer will be NO, so it means President, PM and PM’s son is above all the nation. Isn’t it?

Lastly,

This is a good hint…. the government should do business to increase the pie of its revenues while decreasing the burden of taxes on the Pakistanis. This can be one source of revenue…charges should be recovered from the wedding hosts and added to the Government Treasury. Other sources of government revenues could be income from government factories (that should be setup for the purpose of business), etc. Earn govt earn…and don’t forget to spend on our welfare

At least the expenses of the President House should be covered by the revenue earned in the form of its rental for weddings and other parties!!!

The President’s house had been used for a private wedding before. I was at one when I was a teenager. General Zia’s daughter got married there and an Indian actor was the guest of honour. What’s new. My wife and I were invited in 1957 to the wedding of Taj Mirza, General Iskander Mirza’s daughter. Gen Mirza was the president of Pakistan at that time and his ADC, Commander Iqbal Imam PN was marrying his daughter. We stayed at the President’s House because the president was an old friend of my father. All the wedding ceremonies were held outside the President’s House. People may blame Gen Mirza for all kinds of things but one thing is for sure — he was an honest man. If his monthly sumptuary allowance ran out, he paid the balance from his own pocket.
