What does PPP have to offer MQM

By Fasahat Mohiuddin. A crucial meeting between Interior Minister Rehman Malik and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)
is expected to take place in a couple of days in the provincial metropolis to sort out issues. Atop the MQM’s agenda is the local government system, which the PPP ministers, most notably Agha Siraj Durrani, have said will be over and done away with by the end of this month. Informed sources told The News the MQM International Secretariat had requested Rehman Malik to meet the MQM delegation in Karachi and resolve the pending issues. This time the MQM will ask the interior minister to be clear on all issues, as the MQM is accountable to its voters, sources maintained.
Sources said this could be the seventh or eighth meeting between the MQM and Rehman Malik at the Governor’s House. In the previous encounters, only promises had been made, which are yet to be fulfilled.
When asked about the agenda, sources said the meeting had no agenda but one was fully aware of the concerns and issues as in its meeting with MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain both sides had pledged to resolve the issues through dialogue.
MQM Coordination committee member Mohammed Anwar had informed The News no local issues were discussed during the London meeting. It looks now that Rehman Malik might come up with some concrete proposals. The date and place of the meeting has not been decided so far, sources said. MQM ministers, MPAs, Nazims of Karachi and Hyderabad would attend the meeting.
The issues to be discussed with Rehman Malik are the local government system, funds for the city government, the KESC tariff, price hike and the NRO. Rehman Malik could not be reached for comments.
MQM is making hue and cry that there is no corruption cases overe there members, but as far as my opinion is concerned “BHATTA” or extortion which is done even today in Karachi by MQM is a form of corruption. Furthermore crimnal charges are more serious than corruption charges.
MQM must stop fooling around and misleading the nation. The whole country knows that MQM is the biggest beneficiary of NRO and the only fascist party of Pakistan who has unleashed a reign of teror in Karachi since last 20 years

No!! future of nation is in mr mushu,, because he was the one who gave a clean chit to the past misdeeds of these two political parties; one well known for its terrorist minded workers and the other well known for its leaderships involvement in corruption. So, only mr mushu can get us out of this puddle, as he was the one who got us into it by issuing N.R.O!!
